About Andrea Zucker
Currently providing services to the entire Mid-South area, Andrea Zucker began her photographic journey in the fifth grade when she took a darkroom class at the community center. With her grandfather's 1950 argus camera in hand, she was been by the photographic bug at a very young age.
Although Andrea worked as a hospital CFO for almost 16 years, she never lost her love for photography. She continued to hone her artistic talent, and in 2000 decided to leave the corporate life behind to pursue her passion for photography full-time.
Her life has now come full circle. Her journey has brought some wonderful people into her life, from the brides and their families to the musicians and artists she has been lucky enough to meet and photograph.
One of those people was Hall of Fame musician and songwriter Isaac Hayes. Andrea has been exclusively photographic Mr. Hayes since 2000. They first met at a Vanity Fair photo shoot commemorating the opening of the Stax Museum and Academy in Memphis. Since then, Andrea has become the photographer for the Stax Museum and Soulsville U.S.A.
In addition to Mr. Hayes, Andrea has photographed such artists as Al Green, Wyona Judd, Toni Braxton, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole, Mavis Staples, Booker T. & the MG's, Mable John, Jim Dickinson, The Temprees, Jean Knight, Ann Peebles, Patti LaBelle, and Al Kapone. She has also worked with Hustle and Flow director Craig Brewer.
Andrea's work has been displayed in galleries in New York City, Chicago, and Memphis. Her photographs are part of the permanent exhibit at the FedExForum in Memphis, TN.
With over 15 local and national awards to her credit, Andrea's photographs have appeared in over 50 publications.
